DJ Toby Chicago was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, USA and calls herself

“A Child Of The 50’s AND The 60’s!” Infused with great radio music from both

Chicago and Detroit (when the “skip” was right) she grew up with a vast interest

in music – its sound and its creation. “Because of Ricky Nelson, I play the guitar.

Because of Ringo Starr, I play the drums. Two pretty good models, I’d say!”

Never mind that she was classically trained in piano as a child; she hasn’t touched

a keyboard in years! She’s been a Garage Band Musician “forever, it seems” and

turned her love of music into becoming a radio disc jockey and trivia lady for some terrestrial stations in Oregon, where she has lived for many many years. About

two years ago some musician friends of hers (you may have heard of them –

The PondHawks!) suggested she give internet radio a try, and a new love was born!

 

Toby has served in the military, has had extensive political experience, has some background work in Law and Medicine, and has taught University Speech and Debate. Her two FCC Licenses serve her well as her love is listening to, talking about, and just flat-out loving The Beatles on the air – and off the air, too! Her “other love” is cats and her Havana Brown Kitty Boy, Seamus, is her Studio Engineer while she is preparing her radio shows and is on the air. His “job” is to keep the elephants out of the studio parking lot and he does a great job of it!

 

For the past (almost) two years, DJ Toby Chicago has enjoyed bringing her love of Indies, Oldies, and all kinds of music (The Indies and Oldies Show and The Musical Potpourri Show) to internet listeners all over the planet. Stay Tuned, Babies!
